15th Edition’s In Focus Revealed: Slovakia – What’s up in Slovak Cinema?

The Eastern Neighbours Film Festival will return to Filmhuis Den Haag between 22 – 26 November with the 15th edition of our small festival with a big heart. We are happy to announce that this year’s In Focus programme will highlight films from Slovakia – a small country with a rich and diverse cinema tradition.

With a total of seven films, the In Focus programme will include two feature films (By a Sharp Knife by Teodor Kuhn, and The Ballad of Piargy by Ivo Trajkov), two documentaries (All Men Become Brothers by Robert Kirchhoff, and Awohali by Dominika Kovácová), two shorts (Criss Cross by Nina Rybárová and Tomáš Rybár, and Liquid Bread by Alica Bednáriková), and one documentary short as part of our New Talents Award lineup (The Most Beautiful Corner in the World by Robo Mihály).
