Talk: Making Films Across Europe’s Divide

SATURDAY 8 NOVEMBER | 14:00 HOURS | FILMHUIS DEN HAAG, ROOM 6 | FREE ADMISSION

Director Marina Sulima brings a subtle and deeply personal approach to storytelling in her debut feature “Consider a Tomato“, a Moldovan-Dutch co-production. Following the film’s world premiere at Eastern Neighbours Film Festival, Sulima and producer Manon Bovenkerk join us to discuss both the film’s distinctive artistic vision and the broader realities of making cinema across Europe’s economic divide. The conversation will also explore how stories from lower-capacity countries reach Western producers, and how creative freedom can be preserved when these films rely on Western partnerships to come to life.

The admission for the talk is free, but requires registration. You can RSVP for the talk here.
