Founded in 2006, Eastern Neighbours Film Festival (ENFF) brings Dutch and international audiences closer to the cinema of their neighbours from Central, South and Southeast Europe. Each year, the festival presents outstanding recent films from countries with smaller but vibrant film industries — works that are rarely seen in the Netherlands.
The festival takes place over five days each November at Filmhuis Den Haag, and continues throughout the year with ENFF On Tour screenings in the major Dutch cities.
The film programme is curated by Stefan Malešević, Marko Grba Singh, Temra Pavlović and Stefan Pavlović. It celebrates cinema in its many forms: features, documentaries, essay films, film art, shorts, animations, classics, youth films and more. Most titles are Dutch premieres, accompanied by introductions, Q&As, panels and masterclasses. The festival includes a single competition: the New Talents Competition, awarded by audience vote.
Through its films, conversations, and informal gatherings — often accompanied by drinks and snacks from the region — ENFF creates a space where filmmakers and audiences meet: a cultural arena for dialogue, reflection and shared celebration of cinema.

ORGANISATION
ENFF is a project of Stichting artTrace (Utrecht, The Netherlands), a non-profit ANBI foundation. The festival is independently run and organised by a dedicated team of professionals.
