Eeny, Meeny, Miny, Moe!

Yios, a lonely mythical boy whose head shines like the sun, struggles to make friends in the clouds. After he falls down to Earth, everything changes.
High above, in the clouds, lies a mythical playground where the children of Greek gods and monsters come to play. Among them is little Yios, with a shining sun on his head. He is determined to find friends, but he cannot control his explosive energy and shine. Annoyed by his presence, the other children devise a prank that causes Yios to fall down to Earth. However, in this strange and unfamiliar place, Yios meets someone entirely unexpected. Inspired by ancient mythology and Minoan frescoes, the film explores themes of otherness, empathy, and the search for balance through the eyes of a child.

DIRECTOR’S STATEMENT
It’s a tale of a child struggling with their differences, their “too-muchness”. It’s about searching for their place in a world that seems to have no space for them. And about finding their way – not by magically becoming different, not by eliminating the problem, but by learning to understand themselves and their own needs. Perhaps the nostalgic aspect of the main character, a personification of a past self, led me to connect this tale with old myths. The visual style of the film was inspired by the art of the Minoan civilisation, which I became fascinated by during my art history studies. The colourful frescoes and lively, ornate ceramics seemed like the perfect foundation for an animated world.
