ENFF On Tour brings a Western from the East: Coyote

Friday 19 October | 19:30 hours | Laaktheater | Ferrandweg 4T, 2523 XT Den Haag

ENFF brings in Laaktheater one of the most exciting films from our 2018 selection: Coyote by Hungarian director Mark Kostyal. A Western from the East adressing mentality of province, search for love and social justice. Beutifully shot in impressive village environment, full of action with strong performances! Come and join this special event on October 19 in The Hague.

Synopsis

A serious struggle for the land, love and life! Sultry heat, dinginess, unspoken social problems and hierarchical infighting. This is the town of Tuzko, somewhere in present-day Hungary where Misi arrives to inherit his grandfather’s house and property. Misi is a disillusioned and frustrated young man who is constantly on the run and who does not find his place in the world, in work or in relationships. Soon he begins the hardest struggle of his life for land, love and for his life. A rough neo-western about land expropriation and human stress. An excellent action drama by Mark Kostyal, a new voice in the Hungarian cinematic landscape.
