Masterclass Acting From Balkan-Star Mirjana Karanovic

On October 28th ENFF welcomes you in Het Nutshuis for a masterclass acting from Balkan-star Mirjana Karanovic. This workshop is for anyone who is interested in acting: students, amateur actors and professionals. You will have a unique chance to meet this multi award winning actress and learn from the best! Film at 20:00 hours – A Good Wife (Dutch Premiere)

After the Masterclass, you can watch A Good Wife by Mirjana Karanovic. A compelling human drama about a Serbian woman, wife and mother. The film had its world premiere at the Sundance Festival with great success! An impressive directorial debut by acclaimed actress, who turned film director: Mirjana Karanovic.

Synopsis

Milena, a middle-aged wife and mother, is living comfortably in an upscale neighbourhood of Belgrade. She quietly tends to her looks, dutifully cooks and entertains her friends. But unsettling realities are beginning to seep into her when she finds out about the hidden past of her seemingly ideal husband. She begins an awakening from the suburban paradise she had thought to live in.

The film has won numerous professional awards, amongst them the Golden Arena at Pula Film Festival. Karanovic, diva of the regional cinema and drama theatre, is also professor of acting at Belgrade’s Academy of Arts as well as a prominent human rights activist. She won the Winning Freedom Award for women promoting human rights, rule of law, democracy and tolerance.
