Romani Stories by Romani (Female) Directors | Filmhuis Den Haag | 19.03.22.

Last night at the Filmhuis Den Haag we had a warm, engaging 10-hour cinema marathon with Katalin Bársony, Alina Șerban & Vera Lackova, three fantastic filmmakers of Roma origin from Hungary, Romania and Slovakia, who presented their thought-provoking films and raised lots of questions. Listen to their inspiring words and motivation behind their films in this video interview.

Katalin Bársony, director of BAXT Films also gave a Masterclass on Altering the image of Romani people in cinema in the 21st century. The piano soloist Raul Santana has played wonderful jazz inspired by a Roma folk music, at the opening of our special focus program Romani Stories by Romani (Female) Directors.
