DIRECTOR’S BIO
Sonja Tarokić (1988) has an MA degree in film directing and a BA degree in literature. She is the author of several short films. On Shaky Ground was screened at Rotterdam IFF and awarded the best Croatian short at Zagreb Film Festival, while her other films (You Bitch!, I’m a Self Made Woman, Smart Girls, Red) were screened and awarded at numerous international festivals.
Hana Jušić (born 1983) is a Croatian film director and screenwriter that majored film directing at the Academy of Dramatic Art in Zagreb. So far, she has written and directed several short films such as Chill (2011), Terrarium (2012) and Gnats, Ticks, Bees (2012). She has also written the script for a children’s hit film Mysterious Boy (2013). Jušić received high acclaim for her 2016 feature film debut, Quit Staring at My Plate.
