Director’s statement

How are we stuck together? By invisible ties that bind us – the same ties that are at risk of falling apart. A boy is accused of committing a robbery he didn’t commit. His father doubts his innocence, causing him to protest strongly. State and social problems may destroy the family. Stuck Together is a film that portrays three generations of a family in their daily routine, messy lifestyle, and confrontations with the state system and injustice. The screenplay I wrote for this film was inspired by my own real-life experiences. And when it came to casting the roles, it was important to find actors with deep connections forged from long-term relationships. So that’s why I cast my own family members. Not only did this choice add to the realism, but it ended up creating a more improvisational and lively setting.
