Temo Re
Told entirely through black-and-white photographs, this double IFFR award-winner follows a struggling actor-turned-courier across Tbilisi.
For a broke actor, who works as a delivery man to make a living, a daily ride across Tbilisi morphs into a nightmarish vision of poverty, corruption and estranged, eerie characters from Georgia’s past and present. It’s an adaptation of Temo Rekhviashvili’s award-winning debut novel “Courier’s Tales”, who plays himself in the film. “Temo Re” is the director’s debut film, told through black-and-white photo montage, and crafted with no budget, crew or institutional support. It premiered this year at the International Film Festival Rotterdam, winning a prestigious Tiger Short Award and the KNF Award from the Circle of Dutch Film Journalists.
This film is shown together with “Inventory” as part of the special screening “Still Life in Motion”.
