    • On Tour: CHAJDAS’s IMAGO
      ENFF arrives in The Hague with the post-punk psychological drama Imago by Polish director Olga Chajdas. The Dutch premiere of Imago will take place on Friday, November 1, at 19:00 at Laaktheater, The Hague. Our signature Balkan cocktail will be served before the screening.

      The debut feature film by Romanian director Katalin Moldovai comes to LHC Utrecht as part of the ENFF On Tour program. A seemingly innocent report triggers a chain of events that causes Ana, a high school teacher, to lose her footing in the world she once believed was secure.

ENFF proudly present a short film of the Oscar-nominated director Jasmila Zbanic, winner of the Golden Bear at Berlinale who made an impressive and compelling short film about her husband’s fear of flying. Trying to get to the root causes of her huband’s fear, the director takes her husband, who fought in 1992-1995 Bosnian war, to the places of his battles. Will he ever be able to fly again?

Synopsis

Jasmila Zbanic and her husband Damir met in a shelter during the siege of Sarajevo. He was a soldier in the Bosnian Army, she was a student at the Academy of Performing Arts. They have been together since 1992; they work and make films together. However, Damir has a problem – he has a severe fear of flying. 24 years after the war and he still drives or takes the train when he needs to go on business trips with his wife. In order to confront his fear, he seeks professional help. As time goes by, it becomes apparent that this fear has roots in the wartime past and the director decides to take Damir back to the places of his battles.
