A compelling awakening of emotions while reconstructing a beautiful friendship. Dutch Premiere

SYNOPSIS

Yugoslavia broke apart in a blood-soaked civil war. The very heart of the country, Bosnia and Herzegovina, suffered the most. This conflict of Bosniacs (Muslims), Serbs (Eastern Orthodox) and Croats (Catholics) resulted in hundreds of thousands of victims and changed the destinies of many people, dispersing them around the world as refugees. The director embarks on a world tour to find the then 10-year-old actors from his first film, scattered away from their native city by the whirlwind of war.

Mitrovic points out: “I was born on a movie set and lived a happy childhood. And just when the stars seemed closer than ever, the sky above me got overcast, bringing along the war that put everything on hold. I stopped dreaming and started escaping from a reality that was suffocating my emotions and I`ve distanced from film.”
